Allison Lawlor is a writer and author based in Nova Scotia. She works as a writing coach with journalism students at the University of King’s College.

She worked as a reporter at several newspapers including The Brantford Expositor ,The Standard and The Globe and Mail . Her work has been published in newspapers and magazines. She has also written seven non-fiction books.

In 2015, The Roar of the Sea, a book ghostwritten by Allison, was published by Boulder Books.
