New on the Shelf: Newfoundland Knits for Little Ones by Katie Noseworthy

We are proud to announce our latest knitting book, Newfoundland Knits for Little Ones: 15 original patterns designed for children by local knitter and designer Katie Noseworthy!

Knitting is a long-standing tradition in Newfoundland and Labrador. Today, knitting is more of a pastime and artistic endeavour, but until recently, knitted garments made up a huge proportion of our daily wear. This includes how we dressed children for our cold, North Atlantic weather.

Based on traditional Newfoundland designs, this collection of patterns includes garments and accessories, along with tips and tricks for adjusting sizes from newborn to children’s large, and bonus adult sizing for select patterns. Each pattern blends traditional and contemporary styles, keeping the needs of babies and children at the heart of the design.
