Peter J. Scott is former curator of the Agnes Marion Ayre Herbarium and a retired professor in the department of biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. His research interests include flora of the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, plant ecology, and bio-technology. He is also a gardening commentator for radio and television programs.
Florence M. Hilchey
Florence M. Hilchey compiled A Treasury of Nova Scotia Heirloom Dishes as a Canadian Centennial project while working as supervisor of Home Economics for the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture. Active with the Women’s Institutes of Nova Scotia, Hilchey played a role in establishing branches in communities throughout the province.
