Two features I really like in this book are the small appendices of Wildflowers of Eastern Newfoundland and a Trail Completion Checklist. Certainly, for anyone passionate about floral identification should head out to these trails with a proper book about Newfoundland wildflowers, but for the more casual hiker, the appendix gives many of the more common wildflowers. I know I will start to keep this book in by tour bag to help me identify flowers for visitors I take on tour. The Trail Completion Checklist is a great addition for the achievement hunters, like myself. I normally would not mark in a book, but in this case, I made an exception and marked the trails I have done. This is a great book for anyone interested in hiking. I know I will be looking to pick up a copy of Hikes of Western Newfoundland for my trips across the island. Lisa Daley at http://www.planecrashgirl.ca/
